Kashmiri dry fruit recipes with almonds, saffron and dates

5 Simple Dry Fruit Recipes You Can Make at Home

Dry fruits are often eaten straight from the pack, but they're just as useful as ingredients. Here are five simple, low-effort ways to put your Kashmiri dry fruits to work beyond plain snacking.

1. Kesar Almond Milk

Soak a small handful of Mamra almonds overnight, peel, and blend with warm milk, a few strands of saffron, and a touch of honey. Strain if you prefer a smoother texture. A simple, warming drink that works well before bed or first thing in the morning.

2. Dry Fruit & Date Energy Balls

Blend a handful of Kalmi dates (pitted) with a mix of walnuts, cashews, and a spoon of Acacia honey until it forms a sticky dough. Roll into small balls and refrigerate for 30 minutes. A no-bake snack that keeps well in the fridge for a week.

3. Kehwa-Spiced Overnight Oats

Steep a teaspoon of Shahi Kehwa blend in warm milk for a few minutes, strain, and pour over oats with a spoon of yogurt. Refrigerate overnight and top with crushed almonds and golden raisins before eating. A fragrant twist on a familiar breakfast.

4. Dried Fruit & Nut Pulao

Sauté a handful of chopped cashews and golden raisins in ghee until the raisins puff up slightly, then fold into cooked rice along with whole spices. A simple way to turn plain rice into something closer to a festive pulao.

5. Honey-Glazed Dried Apricot & Pistachio Bowl

Warm a spoon of Acacia honey slightly and toss with chopped Jardalu apricots and shelled pistachios. Serve over yogurt or as a light dessert on its own.

A note on quantities

None of these recipes need precise measurements — dry fruits are forgiving to work with, and you can scale any of them up or down based on how many people you're serving. Start with a small batch, taste as you go, and adjust sweetness or spice to your preference.

All the ingredients for these five recipes are available in our full range of Kashmiri dry fruits.
